Theatre Shooting

A man from Florida was shot dead in a local cinema by another spectator who was enraged because his victim, was  texting on mobile phone while watching the movie. Subsequently, investigators said the guilty person, retired cop, killed a man who communicates through messages with the girl’s nurse.

Chad Oulson, killed during an unfortunate altercation, is described by friends as a person who had a passion for extreme sports, but he loved his three years daughter more than anything. His killer, Curtis Reeves, is a retired police officer who had gathered during his career numerous assessments and recommendations, reports the Associated Press news agency. The two went with their wives at a cinema in the city where they met for the first time. Oulson was communicating via messages with the girl’s nurse, according to witness statements, but Reeves has enraged.

There followed an exchange of words, the atmosphere became increasingly tense. At one point, Oulson threw a box of popcorn into his party, which triggered the uncontrolled reaction of the second man. Reeves pulled a 380 semi-automatic pistol from his pants pocket and shot Oulson in the chest, although near him was a security guard who was trying to calm things down. After pulling the trigger, the aggressor resisted briefly, but agents were able to restrain him while Oulson was transported to the hospital.

Wounded died on the same day, and his killer, a retired policeman, came into police custody. Tuesday held its first appearance before the judges, who decided to remain detained without possibility of bail, accusing him of second degree murder (manslaughter). Reeves is likely to receive life imprisonment, if that turns out to be guilty.
