Why did I choose this title? Because I have met many women who avoid to discuss about this subject. Now, may I ask why? Maybe because is still standing the adage according to which a woman on menopause is not anymore considered a woman. This from their point of view. A wrong point of view, I would say. The menopause do not kidnaps your femininity , it is part of the normal course of life and should not be an embarrassment to anyone.
A Definition of Menopause
According to medical studies menopause is a natural and normal phenomenon, defined as the end of the menstrual period confirmed by the absence of the menstrual cycle for a period of one year. With age body organs slow their functions. Without making an exception ovaries go through the same phenomenon, the consequence being a low production of estrogen and progesterone. This physiological phenomenon marks the end of fertility and characterized the menopause.
The Age at which Menopause begins to install
The menopause does not install at all the women at the same age because each has a different biological rhythm. It is usually installed at an age between 45 and 55 years. If it occurs between 55 and 60 years is called late menopause, and if there is between 45 and 50 is called early menopause.
