“When the girls asked << What happens if I refuse?>>. They replied that they would not participate in tournaments and even that will not dance at the Bolshoi Theatre. Can you imagine that? “continued Volochkova.
Being fired from the Bolshoi Theatre in 2003, beacause she was considered too high and too heavy for partners to be able to pick up, Anastasia Volochkova has not returned on the theater stage.
She won a lawsuit against his former employer, her career has not come back since then Volochkova appeared in several television shows and is a regular presence in the Russian tabloid pages.
Director Anatoly Iksanov has denied the allegations, content to say that not comment on regarding some “junk”.
Anastasia Volochkova statements gave rise to a new controversy about Bolshoi Theatre after, a few days ago, one of the main dancers, Dmitrichenko Paul was accused of ordering an acid attack on artistic director Sergei Filin.
Filin’s view was seriously affected and suffered burns to his face after a person attacked with sulfuric acid in front of his home in central Moscow.
More than 300 people in theater staff last week signed a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin who claim Dmitrichenko is not capable of such an action.
