A city in Hawaii is threatened of Kilauea volcano lava, which has already reached more than 150 meters from the first houses. Locals have not yet received evacuation order because the stream of lava, currently being cooling, advancing slowly. Civil Defence Service assured that if will need to leave their homes, people will be warned at least three days in advance.
Kilauea Volcano erupting continuously since 1983. Much of the lava drained because of its eruptions flowed south. But in the last two years, lava began to flow towards the northeast, thereby reaching closer to Pahoa community. Officials went door to door informing residents about the movements of lava, announced Darryl Oliviera, director of Civil Defense in Hawaii.
Asphalt that burned, generated smoke but Oliviera said the wind spread the smoke to unpopulated areas and do not represent a health risk at this time. Teams on the ground were coated tension poles to provide additional protection against heat from the lava, announces US television station ABC.

Saturday, Hawaii County Civil Defense Director has issued notice to 50 families, who are most at risk, to prepare evacuation at any time. Lava moves very slowly and is currently undergoing cooling, but the volcano is still active.
